Reasons you should learn to be more patient.
It’s all in the process. Do it for the plot. The plot of your own personal movie.

“Do it for the plot”, one of my favorite lines of all time. Your life is a movie. We’re living in a simulation, a video game. You can actually steer and turn your life into becoming anything you want, and although it’s really not as simple as it sounds, it’s completely possible. I choose to believe this because otherwise I’ll end up living so unhappy I’ll have to be one of those elderly people who writes an article called “My top 10 regrets now that I’m on my deathbed”. Fuck that. No regrets. None. I’m not special, I’m not unique. We’re all made to believe were so fucking special and that we’re meant do to greater things. In reality, this isn’t true. How self-centered and egotistically driven do you have to be to believe that you were born to do great things? We are mere specks of particles wandering stupidly in a universe we think we can actually comprehend, and although kudos to the greatest scientists of all time for making a dent into this comprehension, damn, we’re light years away from figuring out even 1% of this life. Maybe in another hundred million years humans will have evolved into some sort of alien species with far more intellect and capacities than us. Millions of years ago we were apes running around looking for food and that was literally it. There were no societies, no science, no concept of money, nothing. Just nature being nature. But even though you’re not really that special, you can decide to be special. To become. Being the architect of your own life means that you understand that as a simple human being amongst 7 billion other humans, you can learn, practice and cultivate any skill you desire. You can break the boundaries of what is “normal”, what is expected, what has been and hasn’t been done before. There are already hundreds of people doing this, while other couple million people stay trapped in a constant loop of working for a system that was designed to keep them numb and oppressed. They’re told they’ll be rewarded with money, safety and meaningless benefits in order to keep the system running, and before long they’ll reach their last living years wondering where the fuck their life went. Damn. When I first realized I was going straight into becoming one of these people it struck my very core. I took a deep look at myself and realized I was walking down this very path, so I took drastic measure. Well, the universe did for me. I felt a nagging voice…
