It was not easy. I actually did shed a tear of desperation. I was supposed to get my passport renewed today. I had booked an appointment online 2 weeks ago, after losing my wallet for the tenth time in my life, having to freeze my bank account and losing $200, I went to the bank to get a new debit card only to realize my passport had expired one week before that, just my luck. This tale is as old as time, a classic play of events of how situations in my life play out due to my lack of planning and preparation. Since I lost my license and citizen ID with my wallet, my only resource to get a new debit card was my passport, but with it having expired, they bank refused to proceed. So there I was, back at square one, booking license, passport and citizen ID appointments in order to recover access to my account. I waited two weeks to get a new ID and a passport appointment, so I could then unfreeze my account. The company I work for couldn’t wire my monthly earnings and I lost yet another $100 in cash because I decided to just stick it in my pockets, so as you can tell, I have no excuse to complain about being a broke piece of shit.
